Welcome to our Online Catalogue

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) library service supports the learning, research and information needs of members, academics and anyone interested in actuarial science worldwide.

The libraries have now closed to visitors except for researchers of the historical collections by appointment. IFoA members can still borrow print books covering all areas of professional practice and research by 'Request' through this Library catalogue. Upon request, we now retrieve books from storage and send them on loan to members anywhere in the world, while costs of returning the book to the IFoA by the due date are the responsibility of the borrower.

IFoA members can access hundreds of eBooks and thousands of online journal articles after login first at https://my.actuaries.org.uk/Site-Login then following 'Read me' links on this catalogue or when using the IFoA Actuarial Knowledge Hub discovery search tool.

This Library Catalogue has over 50,000 records including books, journal papers and online documents, including those in the IFoA's special collections and archives. This important collection relates to the origins, creation and development of actuarial science and practice, a history of some 350 years. Members and public researchers can request to view historical collection items at the IFoA London office by first contacting the Library Service. Enquiries: libraries@actuaries.org.uk.
